Community Spotlight

i9 Sports Aurora/Centennial offers FLAG FOOTBALL, SOCCER, BASKETBALL, and T-BALL for children aged 3-14 in the South Aurora/Centennial area.  i9 Sports leagues are designed to increase a child’s self-confidence and provide a positive experience. Elements such as no tryouts or drafts, equal playing time regardless of ability, and the opportunity to play highly-valued positions such as quarterback provide an experience unlike other leagues. No child will ever be told they aren’t good enough in an i9 Sports league.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for SUMMER and FALL LEAGUES!  The earlier you register, the more you save!  For more information and to register for a program near you, please visit or call 303-730-2793.

Guess The Weather

Each class, students can guess the temperature and weather of a day in the following week. They will acquire points for being correct or the closest for that day. This will provide an opportunity for students to learn about estimating, weather, and research! The student with the most points on June 30th will receive a prize!

The Fish Philosophy

How do you make the best of each day? Here’s one of our philosophies that helps us keep things exciting around the center!

Choose Your Attitude!

Each morning, we are able to decide how our day finishes by simply choosing our attitudes. Choosing to have a positive attitude can significantly change the quality of any given day for ourselves as well as those around us. Attitudes are infections so spread positivity! It’s proven that smiling automatically improves your mood. Try to smile even when you don’t feel like it. Of course, there are situations and issues that must be dealt with on a daily basis, but try not to let them affect the positive attitude that you’ve chosen to have. If we’re able to make the most of each moment, we will find dozens of things to celebrate!

Be There!

Our society has developed a tendency to communicate passively. Texting, instant messaging, emailing and using social media have replaced real, personal conversations. Being there means always being physically and emotionally present. It means putting the phone down, turning the ringer off, and giving the person in front of you 100% of your attention. Just listen and take care of them.

Make Their Day!

We are all individuals. To make someone’s day, recognize their individuality. Remembering details about someone, asking them about a specific event in their life, or even complimenting their outfit can make someone feel special and can change the course of their day! Find special ways to connect with everyone you come into contact with. This includes each delivery person, clerk, friend, relative, or acquaintance. Ask yourself, “What would make this person’s day?” and “What would bring a smile to their face?”

Play is all about being enthusiastic and having fun. It allows the active mind to look for ways to be creative and have fun in any situation. Laughter is not only the best medicine, it is a great way to make anything you’re doing more enjoyable and more memorable!
